Living in University housing is a great way to support students’ academic success, and national studies show students who have a student housing experience have a better overall college experience and make more lasting connections and friendships.
Student housing is important to Northeastern's efforts to recruit and retain local, national and international students. Research shows students living on University housing:
- form strong support networks with friends, classmates, faculty and staff;
- are more satisfied with their college experience;
- are more likely to be successful and graduate;
- have opportunities to engage with peers from diverse, cultural backgrounds
Northeastern is working with American Campus Communities (ACC) in the design, development and management of the student housing project. ACC has established itself as a leader in quality student housing communities nationwide. It has developed 95 student housing communities totaling more than 62,500 beds, including 72 on-campus communities totaling approximately 48,500 beds. ACC is committed to serving the needs of students, residents, parents, and educational institutions.
